Though you have learned how to draw basic shapes, paths, and polygons, and apply filters to your objects, the reality is that you will likely continue to use your drawing tools to create your design work. Applications such as Adobe Illustrator 10, CorelDraw 10, and JASC WebDraw 1.0 allow you to create your imagery in a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) environment, removing you from the underlying code. Just as most designers couldn't program their designs in the PostScript language, the reality is that most won't be programming their artwork in SVG code either.
