Q1: Shouldn’t I leave this hardware stuff to a hardware tech? I might break it!
A1: If this was stuff that cost thousands to millions per component, I might agree with you. But let’s face it: If you destroy a floppy disk drive or a video card, you’re out $50–$100, and believe me, you’ll never make that particular mistake again. Consider it the cost of learning. Be careful with static electricity, powering off before you work, and putting components back in the same orientation, and you should be just fine.
