Chapter 6. Improving Photos

Now that you’re comfortable with the most common bitmap creation and editing tools, you will learn some techniques used by professionals when working with bitmap images. Remember that a bitmap image is a lot like a traditional photographic print. Many of the techniques that were used in the darkroom can now be done with Fireworks. These include color and contrast correction, correcting the exposure and detail in particular areas of the image, touching up dust and scratches, and getting creative with multiple exposures or interesting effects.
