Chapter 14. Slicing Layouts
One of the most powerful strategies for designing Web pages is to quickly cut up an image into small parts to add links, save file size, and arrange graphics and animation on a page along with text. Using the Web Layer in Fireworks MX, you can create slice objects to partition your template layout into areas that are then exported into separate files. Slices can also be named, optimized individually, and then exported with HTML code for the Web and other applications.
