Updating Your Source Tree

After you have decided which version of FreeBSD you want to update to (which is probably STABLE), you need to prepare your system for the update. The first thing you need to do is cvsup your existing FreeBSD source tree so that it matches the source tree of either STABLE or CURRENT. For the rest of this hour, we are going to assume that you are updating to STABLE.
