Hour 12. Adding Custom Designs to Movable Type
In the last two hours you've become familiar with the way Movable Type templates work. In this hour, you'll learn to move away from Movable Type's designs and fashion your own custom designs and behaviors using markup, CSS, and Movable Type tags.
In this hour, you'll learn:
How to build a custom index template using XHTML and Movable Type tags
How to create and link a style sheet to your template
How to import a style sheet into your template for better cross-browser compatibility
For this chapter, you'll be doing a majority of your work in a text or HTML editor. Check Hour 1, “Preparing Great Content for the Web,” for recommendations if you don't currently have a favorite.
