Understanding Windows Backup
Windows 7 includes Windows Backup, which enables you to perform two distinct types of backup at the same time:
• A disaster recovery image backup, which enables you to restore your entire system to a new hard disk in case of a hard disk or system failure
• File backup, which enables you to back up new and changed files
By creating a backup of your system and files, you can restore your system or individual files if your system or files are corrupted or deleted, or if you replace a file you need with a file you don’t want to keep.
