LESSON 2. Checking and Savings Accounts

In this lesson, you learn how to link both checking and savings accounts to your Mint.com account. You also learn how to remove an account.

Your Checking Account

Back in Lesson 1, “Mint.com Overview,” you created your Mint.com account and linked it with a single credit card. It’s a good start, but as you can see in Figure 2.1, the Overview page is not too helpful right now with information—you see lots of $0.00 placeholders waiting for real values. Many categories need to be set up, including checking, savings, investments, and loans, such as car or mortgage.
