Playing Music and Other Audio Files

The iPad 2’s music app is called iPod, and the app works just like an iPod device. The iPod—whether it’s the physical device or the app—is not really complete in and of itself. It’s just one crucial element in a system that allows music and other audio content to be created, distributed—sometimes for free, sometimes for a price—played back, and managed.
