In this lesson, you learn to find your way around the Spotify software.
Getting Around Spotify
When you launch Spotify, the application opens and connects via the Internet to the Spotify service. You need to be connected to use Spotify; all the music you listen to is streamed live over the Internet.
The Spotify application consists of a menu and navigation bar at the top; three panes in the middle; and a set of playback controls at the bottom. We’ll look at each of these sections individually.
Menu and Navigation Bar
Across the top of the Spotify software is a set of pull-down menus and, beneath that, a set of navigation controls. This section, shown in Figure 5.1, is the menu and navigation bar.
