Lesson 9. Searching for Music

In this lesson, you learn how to find music on the Spotify service using basic and advanced search parameters to locate a specific artist, album, or song.

Conducting a Basic Search

With 15 million tracks in its database, finding the music you want on Spotify can be daunting. Fortunately, Spotify makes it easy to search for music. You can search for

• Individual tracks

• Artists

• Playlists

You enter your search into the Search box at the top of the Spotify window. As you type, Spotify displays suggested matches in a drop-down list beneath the Search box, as shown in Figure 9.1. To select an item from the list, click it with your mouse. Otherwise, continue entering your query and then press the Enter key.
