Lesson 10. Dealing with iTunes Match Track Errors
iTunes Match’s algorithm—for determining whether Apple can match your track with one on its servers, or whether it needs to upload your song—is very good, but it isn’t flawless. On occasion, you may spot tracks for which iTunes Match reports errors. Here’s how to fix them.
The Problem
Early in this book, we enabled two columns in iTunes that relate to iCloud and the iTunes Match service: iCloud Status and iCloud Download. Sometimes, after iTunes Match finishes going through your library, you see a cloud icon with an exclamation point centered inside it in the iCloud Download column, with the terse description Error in the iCloud Status field (see Figure 10.1).
