Appendix B. Installing the Java Web Services Developer Pack

The Java Web Services Developer Pack can be downloaded from the Sun Java Web site. You can get to it directly using the following URL:

http://java.sun.com/webservices/download.html

A screen will come up with a number of packages that you can download. Select the Web Services Developer Pack. (At the time of this writing, the current version is 1.0_01.)

Before installation, you will need to have a version of the Java 2 Standard Edition Developer’s Kit installed. Version 1.3.1 or higher is required. The Java Developer’s Kit can also be downloaded from the http://java.sun.com Web site in the J2SE section.
