Understanding Resolution
Whether you’re watching on a computer screen or a television display, the quality of a picture is defined by its resolution—the number of pixels in the picture. The more pixels, the higher the resolution and the sharper the picture—especially when viewed on larger displays.
Plain Engligh: Resolution
The amount of detail in an image. Often measured in terms of pixels; the more pixels, the greater the resolution.
Plain English: Pixel
The smallest item of information in a digital image; the small dots or squares that compose a digital image.
