With only a single ISL connecting fabrics together, a small zoning mistake can quickly lead to severe SAN congestion. 1.1.10 Cisco VSANs It is possible to use Cisco VSANs, combined with inter- VSAN routes, to isolate the hosts from the storage arrays. This provides little benefit for a great deal of added configuration complexity.
