Defining Preferences
While the Document Properties settings define properties for a specific model, the Preferences settings affect the Dashboard Design application and its defaults. To access these settings, select File | Preferences.
The Preferences dialog box includes Document, Grid, Open, Language, Excel Options, and Accessibility sections. These preferences (especially those in the Excel Options section) should be set before creating a model to avoid potential development and performance issues. A Restore Defaults option is available for each section except Accessibility.
