This chapter looks at the available tools for working with Projects—the Project Builder, Planning Board, ProMan, and Reporting.

The Project Builder

The Project Builder is SAP’s primary tool for creating and maintaining most elements of a Project. There are some things you cannot manage here, such as Budgets, Claims, and Subnetworks. However, you can do just about anything else.

Project Builder Structure

The Project Builder is divided into three main sections:

• Structure

• Worklist and Templates

• Identification and View Section

Structure

Here the structural elements of a project are shown in a Hierarchical format. As you move down the Hierarchy, the object content is shown in the Identification and View Section.
