Project Charter: One of the key deliverables of Phase-1 of ASAP, the ‘project
charter’ is a document prepared by the project manager that contains a clear
definition of the project, its scope, objectives, implementation time line/schedule,
implementation strategies, resources, roles and responsibilities, etc. The charter
prepared by the project manager forms the basis for further work on the project in
terms of Project Planning and Control, and this needs to be ratified by the Project
Sponsor or management. Each of the sub-projects within a major project needs to
have separate project charters.
Project Documentation: Refers to the record of work on an implementation.
