Session: In SAP, this refers to a connection between two logical units. When
the connection is broken, the session ‘expires.’ SAP uses the Session Manager (a
graphical navigation interface used to manage one or more SAP R/3 Systems and
several Clients) to manage the sessions.
Set: In FI-SL, a ‘set’ refers to a specific or group of values assigned to a specific
object. SAP’s default sets include: Basic Sets, Key-Figure Sets, and Single/Multi-
Dimension Sets.
