Chapter 7. Enhancing Report Output

Introduction

SAS Enterprise Guide has two major tasks for designing and producing customized reports: List Data for detail reports and Summary Tables for summary reports. Many other tasks also produce output. In this chapter, we look at some general techniques that can be used on all output, and then look at some specific techniques for the List Data task and for summary reports, including adding HTML hyperlinks.

We then look at a SAS procedure that can do detail and summary reports and can also eliminate the need for a lot of data preparation. Currently there is no standard SAS Enterprise Guide task for this procedure, so we look at the code needed to use it.
