We are of two minds when it comes to budgets. For some people, they are an absolute necessity. If they don’t write down every single item they spend their hard-earned cash on, these people have no idea where all their money goes.
For others of us, budgeting is only slightly less painful than a root canal (and the fact that some “financial experts” call a budget a “spending plan” in an attempt to lessen the pain of budgeting, just strikes us as silly).
But no matter what camp you fall into, it is helpful to get a handle on how much money is coming in and going out.
