3.3. E-Business Servers

This section discusses some of the common software servers that are used to support e-business functions. An e-business function is processed by several servers in an e-business site. Requests arrive from browsers in the case of customer to individual e-commerce or are generated by computers as is the case in many business-to-business applications. In any case, we say that the source of the requests are clients of the services provided by the servers of the e-business site.
