Chapter 2 described the evolution of analytics during the past 20 years. You might think that 20 years is enough time for every medium- and large-sized organization to develop a mature analytical practice, but it isn't. Most organizations struggle when it comes to implementing a full-fledged analytics program. Overall, the analytical IQ of most organizations today is middling to low.
