Identifying Processes
In general, the first step in managing processes is knowing what the processes are. Every process has a goal or objective of what the process will accomplish. For example, a typical human resources process would be to onboard a new employee. The goal of this process would be to have a new employee’s paperwork and training completed, with assigned workspace and tools, and all other elements needed for the new employee to begin productively working for the company. A systems process example may be the implementation of a new server, where the goal is to have the server physically installed and connected, the operating system set up, including IP addresses, users, and security, and any applications installed. ...
