Without executive commitment, your intellectual property protection program won't go anywhere. Without a meaningful, tangible executive mandate, the populace within the enterprise will blow you off. You may be the recipient of some pleasant indulgence and some seemingly sincere lip service in the initial phases, but sooner or later your program will end up in the dustbin of institutional memory.
