With these previously identified specifications, the usable parts
have to be selected from the original SIA (see Figure1.15 for a fic-
tional example), step 2 in Figure1.14.
Step 3 includes the decision about the completeness of the cutout
of the SIA. If one or more requirements are not met, it is necessary to
extend the SIA with custom parts. ese extensions could consist of
other non-IEC standards, corporate standards, or regulatory rules.
