2.4.1 Application Manager
An application manager is responsible for managing an application
locally at a cloud site and for trade-offs of the application’s performance
for savings in power consumption. Power performance trade-off pos-
sibilities include
1. Powering down a few servers and redistributing the excess
workload, created as a consequence of shutting down these
servers, onto the remaining servers
