IoT describes all devices that can connect to the Internet.
IoT devices can present a significant number of security risks because manufacturers are trying to get the technology onto the market in the quickest time possible to be the leading product, but usually at the expense of security. Devices could present far fewer security risks if more time was spent developing their security features. There are some things that can be done to manage the potential risks when joining IoT devices to home networks.
