9.1 Learning How to Drive Analogy
Continuing the vehicle analogy, think about a department in a business as being like a new driver when it comes to their understanding of risk. Before being allowed to drive, they will have observed the driving practices of their family and friends, or just simply through their observations from being the passenger in a vehicle since they were a baby. They only know what they have observed or what they have overheard. Would you trust this individual to drive a car, motorcycle, or a large truck?
