Recognize and understand the essential standards and protocols associated with a public key infrastructure (PKI).

Multiple standards and protocols are associated with a PKI, and each one has a specific purpose and might or might not be needed in a PKI solution. In this section, we briefly cover the following standards and protocols associated with PKI:
