Endurance exercises strengthen the cardiovascular system, sending more oxygen to the muscles, strengthening the slow-twitch muscles, and allowing the dog to exercise for longer intervals without experiencing fatigue.

Healthy adult dogs should participate in some form of endurance exercise at least three times a week. Do any of the following endurance exercises, varying the type and/or location of the activity to keep it interesting.
