5. Strategy No. 4: Show Appreciation, Admiration, and Respect
Healthcare providers spend most of their time attending to the physical, emotional, psychosocial, and even spiritual needs of their patients. In hospice, the end-of-life care providers I call our “compassionate angels” give selflessly of their specialized talents to improve the quality of life for dying patients and comfort patients’ family members during a difficult time in their lives. And they do this 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
