INTRODUCTION

A sensor is a device that measures a physical quantity and converts it into a signal which can be read by an observer or by an instrument. There are many different types of sensors; based on their detection targets as well as detection mechanisms they can be categorized as mechanical, electromagnetic, thermal, optical, acoustic, radiation and chemical sensors, etc. [1].
