4.0—PROACTIVE Maintenance
This job dimension covers proactive maintenance, which can be summed up as everything you do to a network to ensure the system will continue to perform in the future. This job dimension comprises approximately 9% of the exam questions. The main points follow:
A full backup copies all the files on the network server to a backup system (usually a magnetic tape drive).
An incremental backup copies all the files on the network server that have changed or been created since the last backup to a backup device.
An differential backup copies all the files on the network server that have changed or been created since the last full backup to a backup device.
