Using the example companies of Branch (Chapter Five) and Insureco (Chapter Six), this Chapter compares the ability of each business to achieve business outcomes as a direct capability stemming from its software, business, and social architectures and associated organizational structure. The point of this chapter is not to make a straw-man argument that all “Insurecos” will operate as the median-case Insureco details here, but rather to illustrate how much easier it is to be successful with Branch’s architectures than with a traditional architecture. Branch leverages what Serverless enables in technological, social, and business organization to drive superior results.
