Shader programming has a long history and it exists in many variations. Interesting as they are, this book is not enough to cover even a small portion of the topics in shader programming. In this section, we will briefly mention what shaders are and what support SFML has in terms of loading and using them, but we will not go into too much detail. If you are interested in learning more about them, it is worth getting another book with the GLSL language as its core topic or following an online guide.
