Authors’ biography

Alessandro Aurigi is Professor of Urban Design at the University of Plymouth, having previously worked at the University of Newcastle and University College London (UCL). His research focuses on the relationships between our digital society and the ways we conceive, design, and manage urban space, to enhance and support place quality. Alex has published Digital and Smart Cities and The Routledge Companion to Smart Cities (Routledge, with Katharine Willis), the multidisciplinary book Augmented Urban Spaces (Ashgate, with Fiorella De Cindio), and Making the Digital City (Ashgate).
