Viewing Windows
A window displays icons and other information in the Finder, and documents in an application. One of the powerful things about the Mac OS is that you can open more than one window or application at once. You can identify a window by its name on the title bar at the top of the window. Before you can work with a window, you need to activate it first. The active window is the one in front with the available buttons (red, yellow, and green) in the upper-left corner. When you're done using a window, you can quickly close it to reduce the clutter on the desktop.
