THE EIGHTH and final strategy that will help you emerge as a leader is Intentional Promotion. As you execute and master the first seven strategies, you’ll gain a deep knowledge of your worth and show your worth in all your interactions and your achievements—proving you’re ready to get a promotion to a leadership role.
That doesn’t mean that you’ll be handed a promotion. You must become intentional about positioning yourself for consideration, asking for and getting your well-deserved promotion with discipline, stubborn determination, and a game plan, which is the focus of this chapter.
