Abstract

Digital twin technology is used to simulate and forecast the behavior of physical systems in a very effective manner. Several industries, including manufacturing, energy, healthcare, transportation, mining, and construction, can benefit from the deployment of digital twins. They can aid businesses in streamlining operations, cutting expenses, boosting productivity, and raising product quality with very less human effort. With the use of digital twin technology, the performance of a physical system, process, or object may be tracked, analyzed, and improved in real time. It builds a digital representation of a physical object that may be used to model behavior and forecast performance and of coal mining operations using sensors, data analytics, and simulation. There are only a few simulation methods that can be applied to develop digital twins. The particular system being modeled and the simulation’s objectives will determine the technique to use. In this chapter, various types of digital twin simulation methods are discussed. Finite element analysis, computational fluid ...
