The pursuit of a Masters in Information and Library Science (MLIS) was approached not so much with my head, as with my heart. Deep down, I just knew I was meant to be a librarian. When I finally began telling close friends, and family members my idea, they all pretty much shrugged at me and said “we know—what took you so long to figure that out?” However, life has a way of throwing all sorts of twisted ironies, and stumbling blocks in any well-laid plan.
