Chapter 4. Native MTA Anti-Spam Features

In this chapter, we look at native anti-spam features in the covered MTAs, as well as blacklisting/whitelisting support. Blacklisting/whitelisting can be accomplished by both static lists located on the server and dynamic lists updated by domain name system (DNS) style protocols. Although not all of the techniques shown in this chapter should be implemented by every organization, they are certainly worthy of consideration. Your organization’s email or anti-spam policy may address these issues.
