Blogging allows you to create linkable messages — content — that your target audience can view and share. Each time a reader shares a post, it carries your name, your message, and a link back to your site to new contacts for your business.
They’re graphically simple.
They’re full of short entries, or posts, that you update frequently and present chronologically, with the newest posts listed first and most prominently.
They advance a distinct point of view and focus on a particular interest area.
They use RSS (Really Simple Syndication) or other file formats that allow one blog to distribute and share posts with others so third-party websites can repost or excerpt posts with a link back to the originating site.
