25. Know thyself
Self-assessment is hard. Either we are unfair on ourselves and are unwilling to give ourselves credit or we blow our own horn a bit too much. It’s time for some objectivity.
Be fair to yourself and to others when assessing individual worth; if you get it wrong, your colleagues are likely to become extremely upset.
You might regard yourself as ideal for your role and ideal for running your own business, and you may well be right, but it is always worthwhile treating yourself (just for a few minutes) as a stranger.
