Applications of energy semantic networks

Abstract

This chapter introduces energy semantic networks (ESNs) and their applications for smart energy grids. The chapter presents methods for generating ESNs, and it considers how designers use ESNs to synthesize and evaluate possible energy supply and conservation scenarios. The ESN is a heterogeneous collection of different classes of energy nodes, generators, supply sources, and storage facilities, and it represents loads in a fixable architecture in order to effectively manage potential scenarios.
