Abstract
Internet of Things enabled smaller objects are networked, linked, and connected via Internet to have advanced tracking and monitoring services. Through using sophisticated automatic monitoring and networking techniques and other aspects of information technology, the Smart Grid (SG) is a concept for changing electric power grid. SG is a set of computers, applications, networking and communications infrastructure for energy management and tracking built in households, industries and in the grid of electricity delivery. Advanced IoT sensing and networking systems can effectively eliminate or mitigate the disruption to transmission lines caused by natural disasters, boost power transmission efficiency and reduce economic losses. Over an environment where electricity consumption is rising, power generation can also increase to meet consumer requirements and facilitate their daily lives.
