The Interface and Change
All things change. This simple statement describes the most complex concept for any SOA—change. A simple service to read the Item database and return details to the consumer for a particular item will no doubt change over time. The change might be adding a new element to the item database and returning it in the reply message. Or it might be a complete restructuring to the data and as a result the message. Each of these scenarios and any number of other variations represent the types of change that a service will undergo over time.
