6A Study of Social Decentering and Relationship-Specific Social Decentering (RSSD) within Marriage
This chapter reports the results of a study I conducted to investigate the roles of social decentering and relationship-specific social decentering (RSSD) in marriage. This study examines some of the observations and predictions discussed in Chapter 5. In addition, the study explored social decentering and RSSD in relationship to long-term changes in marriage, marital satisfaction, communication attitudes, and communication behaviors.
