This chapter looks specifically at finding information in blogs and microblogs. For blogs, the chapter primarily looks at the use of Google Blog Search for finding individual blogs, posts, and bloggers covering a particular organization or industry. For microblogs, the chapter primarily looks at Twitter for finding organization information and for finding sources of industry information. Tools for managing Twitter are covered, as well as a few of the Twitter analysis tools that are currently available. The chapter concludes with a list of additional blog and microblog tools, and tips on verifying the information available in these tools.
