To Support a Traditional Course
Wikis can serve to fill in spaces between formal classroom events, helping to keep the learning experience on the “front burner” and providing a place for learners to engage with one another.
shows an example of a Wikispaces wiki set up to support a traditional course. Learners meet “live” each week and then visit the wiki to create their own recaps, access additional information, and participate in assignments. The course is an “Administrative Support Specialist” curriculum; weekly topics are listed at left.
Editing the wiki is as simple as clicking “edit,” making changes on the screen, then clicking “save,” as shown in Figure 5.8
